図書館に通うのが週末の日課となりはや2年あまり。
なぜ、そんなに通うのかというと近所に図書館が出来たから。
という理由だけではもちろんない。
週末の午前、図書館で過ごす時間のゆるやかなこと。
自習をする人、新聞を読む人、雑誌を眺める人、コーヒーを飲む人、静かな館内にそそぐ朝の日の光。
図書館の中の時間は確かにゆるやかだ。
一歩図書館から出ると目の前に国道が走る街の喧騒。
車の行き交う騒音や人の話し声が押し寄せてくる。
図書館の中は静寂の空間。
カフェやコワーキングスペースでは絶対に体験出来ない静寂が図書館にはある。
聞こえてくるのはかすかに人が歩く音や、図書館員が本を棚に戻す音。
